Directed by Mark Winstanley

director - plays, musicals, sketches and events

Mark is an experienced director in a wide variety of genres. He loves to work with experienced actors of course, but also enjoys the opportunity to develop talent. He also provides tailor-made workshops for drama students. Mark has a great feel for both drama and comedy. His skill in directing musical theatre is supported by both music and dance training, ensuring song and dance are seamlessly interwoven into your show. His insight into costume, make-up, set design and tech mean he can create high production values, even when working with a tight budget. Mark's shows have played in numerous Amsterdam venues, on tour in the Netherlands, Croatia and Slovenia. His most recent production, an all-male re-working of The Importance of being Earnest won him rave reviews and was 100% sold out. His production of the History Boys was given Grade A reviews by TimeOut magazine and toured to great acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - see below for a clip. Mark recently directed a sold-out production of Becky Shaw for Actors Anonymous. In June 2018 he directed Loveday Smith, in Bed Among the Lentils for a NL tour. If you are looking for a new director for your show, get in touch. Dat kan ook in het Nederlands!
